EXPERIMENTING WITH YOUR LOOKS

Every once in a while I like to make a little effort with my hair and makeup. This is a throwback makeup day as I don’t have many nowadays. But I just really loved this look.

Look how short my hair was, looking back really makes me want to go short again. I love a smile wavy/messy look. The best way I have tried to get this look is to simply French plait your hair the night before and then take it out, spray some dry shampoo at your roots to give your hair a bit more volume and ta da. Looks like you’ve spent hours doing your hair when you actually only woken up 5 minutes ago.

Products used:

Anastasia Beverly Hills – Dipbrow Pomade

Urban Decay – Naked Heat

Anastasia Beverly Hills – Nicole Guerriero Highlighter Palette

Benefit – BAD Gal Mascara

Benefit – Hoola Bronzer

MAC Cosmetics – Liquid Lipstick

I find it quite surprising how I didn’t use that many products to create this look. Whenever you get a spare minute, you should try to experiment with your makeup and your hair. I remember sitting in front of my laptop for hours on end watching makeup tutorials and hair style tutorials and I can honestly say that’s how I got confident with my makeup and it encouraged me to explore more and experiment more. My hairstyles are much neater and I can do more, whenever I have the time to do something to my hair that is.

One things everyone needs to remember is that  you don’t have to make an effort for anyone else besides yourself. These pictures were taken on Christmas day 2017. Since then I think I’ve only made an effort with my makeup and hair a handful of times. What you see on social media is a lie. Society shows us that we have to be glammed up every single day to fit in and get noticed, but you don’t have to. You should feel beautiful in your own skin, you are unique, so don’t let social media tell you any different.

Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed this blog, let me know in the comments how you experiment with your makeup and if you have any tips or tricks. Until next time.
