GET TO KNOW ME (PART TWO)

Seeing as I’ve been away for so long, I thought it was only right to have a part two to the well loved “get to know me” blog post. These types of blogs are handy to reflect on and rewrite as your hobbies, interests and lives change all the time. I have managed to think of 10 more weird ‘get to know me’ questions that should give you more of an insight as to who I am.

What’s a nickname only your family calls you?

My family only ever calls me George. I was named Georgina because my mum always liked the name George (and I obviously wasn’t born a boy) so it became my nickname. I am George 99% of the time, my family only ever seem to call me Georgina when I am in trouble. My friends tend to either stick with Georgina or call me G. My friend Nathan likes to call me Ina.

What’s a weird habit of yours?

I am one of these annoying people that always have to click their fingers. It’s been a bad habit of mine for years now and it looks like it’s sticking around. I think the longest I’ve gone without clicking my fingers is about a week. I never realise I’m doing it though, only when friends and family point it out to me.

What’s one of your biggest pet peeves?

My biggest pet peeve is people not using their manners. Manners cost nothing, that’s how I got brought up, that’s what I tell the children in the nursery I work in. I can instantly have a dislike to someone if they come across rude, if they don’t say please or thank you, it’s just common courtesy.

What’s a phrase or exclamation you always say?

I’ve noticed that I’ve got into the habit of saying “ouch” whenever someone accidentally hits me. Well, both Liam and I noticed it. I don’t know why I do it, it’s just a natural reaction, Liam would tap me on my leg to get my attention and I’d turn round and say “ouch” like it hurt, but it didn’t. I’ve realised that I’ve said/done this for years and it doesn’t look like I’m stopping anytime soon.

What side of the bed do you sleep on?

I am definitely not a “one side of the bed” gal. It doesn’t matter if I am alone in my bed or whether Liam is with me, I will be in the middle of the bed no matter what. I have a habit of sleeping with my knees up too, which isn’t great for Liam as he tells me I am constantly kneeing him in my sleep.

P.s. I always have Drew (the bear) on my bed every night to keep me company.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?

I was born with a hole in my heart. I am unsure as to whether I had an atrial septal defect (ASD) or a ventricular spetal defect (VSD). All I know was that I had to stay in hospital for a couple weeks and all my mum tells me is that I didn’t have to have an operation, my heart mended itself.

What was your first stuffed animal and what was it’s name?

The first stuffed animal I can remember having was a small stuffed teddy bear. I’d say it was slightly bigger than your hand, but for a child, that was huge. I got a stuffed bear and my sister got a stuffed dog, we literally named them “Teddy Bear” and “Teddy Dog”.

Which way do you face in the shower?

I will always be facing towards the shower, unless I’m washing my hair. I don’t understand how people can have their backs to the shower all the time, I’m always worried about getting my hair wet, or accidently knocking something off the shelf.

Do you have a lucky number?

I am part of the significant amount of people whose lucky number is 7. In many cultures around the world, the number seven is considered a lucky number. Whether the number seven is a lucky number or not is a matter of opinion, but have a think, the number seven has a history of positive associations across many different cultures. There are seven days in a week. How many colours in a rainbow? Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet (I’ll let you count them). There are seven continents and there were seven wonders of the ancient world.

Do you have any tattoos?

I have two tattoos and they are both on my arms. I have the world map outline on my left forearm and I have rose and unalome tattoo on the side of my right arm.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and learnt some weird and interesting facts about me. Can you tell me one weird or unusual fact about you? Thank you for reading, until next time.
