POT OF GOLD

This is the first time I’ve ever done anything like this.

While on a dog walk, my mum and I were talking about things we always wanted to do. One thing that came up was to try a colour run. We asked around to see if anyone had done one and most people hadn’t, so we decided that we NEEDED to do one. We booked with the Color Obstacle Rush for the 1st June.

Myself, my mum, Liam and his mum all did the Color Obstacle Rush on Saturday (1st June). This was a special day anyway because it’s mine and Liam’s 3 year anniversary! I’m so glad that we got the opportunity to do something as amazing as the Color Obstacle Rush.

We started off with our white t-shirts having a warm up with about 500 other people before the race began. The race stretched over 5km and involved 20 obstacles to climb over/under.

The race was at Willen Lake and it took us around an hour to walk round the whole lake, including going over all the obstacles. At the end, we were given our medals and a colour packet so we would celebrate. Our group all joined up in front of the DJ and all celebrated by throwing our colour packets at each other. We had watched the previous group do this and it looked amazing, but being involved was simply spectacular, being surrounded by colour, it truly is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

After our group colour explosion, Liam and I had a bit of fun bouncing on the bouncy castles next to the DJ and tried climbing on top of an inflatable duck.

After having so much fun with the colour packets, I bought some more so Liam and I could let them off together.

We all truly had an amazing time and I am so proud of all of us for completing the Color Obstacle Rush.

Thank you so much I for reading, I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I did writing it! Have you done anything like this before? If so, please let me know, I’d love to try more things out like this! Until next time.
