Do you ever think about the things you use the most during your daily lives? Maybe it might be things that aren’t actually vital to your day but if you didn’t have it in your life you’d feel a little lost. I wanted to share 10 things that I couldn’t live without.

Coffee and tea

If you’re like me, I need at least three cups of tea or coffee during my day. I need at least one for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I don’t understand how people can function without it. If I don’t have a cup of tea or coffee in the morning before my day starts then I may as well turn into a robot.

The gym

For the past six months I have really enjoyed going to the gym. Nothing feels better than getting a good workout in. The gym is my stress reliever. Working in childcare, everyday is different and everyday is a challenge. Going to the gym (especially after work) is the one place I can put my headphone son, drown out the world and forget everything for an hour or more.

My iPad and iPhone

I wouldn’t be a part of this generation if my phone wasn’t my lifeline. I have always got my phone on hand, but I’m not proud to admit that. I know it’s bad to always have your phone on you, but I can’t help it, i e been brought up around technology. I’ve recently started using my iPad more too. I find it so convenient (for blogging) as its a bigger screen than my phone and it has everything I need on it to get my work done while on the go.

My car

I know this is another obvious one, but I don’t know what I’d do without my car. I was so used to getting the bus, taxis and lifts here, there and everywhere that when I passed my test and got my first car, I felt a little lost. I had so much spare time on my hands. I didn’t have to catch two busses and get up three hours earlier to go to uni. I didn’t have to wait around for taxis and for lifts, I had so much freedom.

Unfortunately I was not blessed with perfect vision. There is no way I could live without my glasses, this is not a preference, more a necessity. Over the years I’ve built up a love-hate relationship with my glasses, but I literally wouldn’t be able to see without them, so they have to be on this list.

I’ve recently got back into reading. I was never one who liked to read, I’d much rather be on my phone. But then one day I thought, what am I actually achieving? Scrolling through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram for hours on end for what? So I decided to try and read for at least half an hour a day before I go to bed to get my phone out of my hand. So far I haven’t done too bad, read through more books the past couple months than I have the last couple years.

I am always listening to music, whether that be putting the radio on in the morning while I’m getting ready, listening to music in the car, or just having music on in the background while I’m off doing some jobs around the house. Music can set your mood. There is music for every emotion you’re feeling and I love how you can fall in love with a song. Everyone has a favourite song, or a song they hear and they think of a special memory. It amazing what music can do to you.

Personal space

This may sound a little odd, but I enjoy my own company. I like nothing more than finishing work and chilling out with me, myself and I. I love being in the company of my loved ones and being social, but I also enjoy some quiet time. I always spend about thirty minutes a night to myself (most of the time it’s jut before I go to bed) to do my own thing, reflect on my day, work on my blog, sit and flick through social media. It’s my time to do what I want.

I love dogs. Whether they’re my own dogs or dogs I see in passing, all dogs make me happy. I am always getting tagged in dog pictures or videos or memes on Facebook and they just make my day. Life without a dog would be so lonely.

My family and friends

Finishing off with the most important thing of all – family and friends. I do not know what I would do without the daily support from my family and friends. They are my rocks. They are the people who I turn to when life gets rough. They are the people I can celebrate my happiness with. I would be nothing without my family and friends.

I’m such a nosey person and would love to know what you couldn’t live without! Thank you for reading, until next time.
